Constitutional review: the contribution of the Constitution of 1891

This article approaches the importance of the 1891 Constitution for the incentive to the development of the constitutionality control in Brazil, pointing out the pertinent juridical institutes consigned in the constitution, the competence of the Supreme Court, the specific requisites of the extraordinary resource admissibility and the consequences that come from such control, concluding with a critic to the model used in Brazil so far.
