Abstract

This text focuses to found the meaning and characteristics of the “Brazilian liberalism” that, after three centuries of invasion, colonization and rebelliousness, was finally settled through the “Carta Magna” (March 25, 1824), a Constitution that created an independent, free and sovereign Brazilian State.

Graduado en Teología por la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (España), cursó estudios de Maestría en Filosofía de la Historia en la Universidade Federal da Paraíba (Brasil) y de Doctorado en Historia Iberoamericana en la Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil). Ha publicado, entre otros, el libro intitulado Antrolpolgia da Libertação Latino-Americana. Actualmente desempeña sus actividades como Profesor e Investigador en la Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Brasil).
