Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to respond synthetically to five of the main questions about modern political representation. Namely: why did it arise, around what axiology assumption did it, what characteristics do they possess, which were the theoretical-practical bases of each of them and which evolution have the had until the end of 20th century.

Daniel Fernández Cañueto, Universitat de Lleida

Profesor de Derecho Constitucional de la UdL. Sus líneas de investigación principales versan sobre los sistemas de gobierno representativos, el Derecho Parlamentario comparado y la calidad democrática. Es coordinador del Seminario anual “Nuevos Horizontes del Derecho Constitucional”. Y sus últimas publicaciones son La iglesia católica y la nacionalización de Cataluña (2016) y “Gobierno representativo y realidad constitucional. La España contemporánea entre literatura y pensamiento político (diciembre 2017).
